Transformation director and project manager

Andy is one of April’s Managing Partners and adds the ‘how’ into the ‘why’ and ‘what’ of strategy.

With over 20 years’ experience delivering transformational change, he is an expert in facilitating, sequencing and structuring complex change programmes using agile and traditional project management techniques.

Andy graduated with a BSc in maths, operational research, statistics and economics from the University of Warwick, where he took on his first leadership role as President of the Student Union. He joined Whitbread as a graduate trainee and enjoyed project management and programme director roles in a range of sectors before biting the bullet and launching his own business in 2012.

A long-standing associate of April, he joined as Managing Partner in 2021 at a time when it was strengthening its focus on the ‘how’ of implementation. A Prince 2 Practitioner, expert in waterfall and agile methods and experienced workshop facilitator, Andy doesn’t let strategy sit on the shelf. He has built up a series of April playbooks to help clients develop agile strategy and accelerate through the delivery cycle and is known for his motivating, can-do attitude.

He lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and children, where he has devoted many hours to coaching junior football squads. He loves to travel, particularly to Spain, and enjoys photography, cooking and travelling in his new campervan.
